Delivery, Warranty & Ownership Policy – DV TECH

Incorrect Products

If you receive an incorrect product, please contact us immediately.

• The item must be unopened and in original condition.
• Notification must be made within 7 days of delivery (or as mutually agreed).
• We will arrange collection and either send the correct product, issue store credit, or provide a refund.

Goods Damaged During Transportation

If goods are damaged in transit:

• You must notify us within 3 days of delivery.
• Clear photographs of the packaging and damaged item must be provided.
• We will lodge a claim with the courier service provider and advise the next steps.

Failure to notify within this timeframe may affect the ability to claim.

DIY Products & Technical Skills

Many of our products are sold as DIY (Do-It-Yourself) kits or technical equipment. Customers are expected to have reasonable technical knowledge and skills to assemble, install, and operate these products correctly.

DV TECH is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect assembly, installation, modification, or misuse.

Test Costs & Shipping Charges

If a returned product is found to be in perfect working condition, the customer will be responsible for:

• All return shipping costs
• Diagnostic/testing fees
• Re-shipping costs (if applicable)

Shipping fees are non-refundable once booked.

Ownership & Use

Ownership of goods transfers to the customer upon delivery.

Our printers, laser equipment, CNC machines, and related supplies are intended for hobby, artistic, educational, trade, or industrial purposes only.

DV TECH accepts no responsibility for misuse, unsafe operation, or illegal use of its products.

Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) where applicable.

The CGA does not apply where products are purchased for business purposes, as permitted under New Zealand law.

Warranty Policy

Standard Warranty

• General warranty period: 12 months from the date of purchase

Limited Warranty (3 Months)

Mechanical components such as:
• Extruders
• Hotends
• Cooling fan

No Warranty (After Use)

Consumable items including:
• Lenses
• Build plates / hotbed platforms
• Nozzles
• FEP film
• VAT kits
• Filaments
• Resins

These items carry no warranty once used.

Laser Modules

Laser modules carry a 12-month warranty or their rated lifecycle warranty (whichever occurs first).

Extended Warranty

If a product includes an extended warranty:

• Coverage applies to technical support only.
• Return or refund is not permitted during the extended warranty period unless required by New Zealand consumer law.
